I did get goosebumps at the first thump of the drum. Now I can’t help being reminded of sitting exams in big gymnasiums, row after row of students.

Going to love all this drumming though.

Being at the Sydney opening ceremony was amazing and literally a dream come true… it had been my goal since the Games were announced in Sept 03 to be there that night.

Having not watched it on tv since, I really don’t know what the whole story behind it was (they give the media some script to read through), but it was phenomenal to be there.

Of course, I’ll never forget little Nikki Webster. I don’t know what it looked like on tv but it really did look like she was under the water in the stadium.

Ooh, those lifting sparkly Olympic rings are clever. Very pretty.

Might keep watching after all.
