Things I’ll miss in no particular order :

bringing my dog to work;

my quiet walking track and outdoor gym;

the brickpit walk;

the big kitchenette;

watching storms roll in from the west;

a quiet office;

star spotting;

free parking downstairs;

inspirational venues and monuments 5 minutes walk away in any direction;

the golf driving range 5 minutes walk away;

Ticketek 5 minutes walk away;

a good excuse to read the sports news every morning;

time in lieu;

getting lifts with DB;

wearing jeans to work;

chatting with other sports administrative minded people;

knowing a lot of answers to work related questions;

phone calls to interstate colleagues;

my diverse colleagues here who are no longer team mates unfortunately.

It’s scary to think that the list of things I won’t miss far outweighs the things I will, hence my reason for leaving.

Think I might write that list down privately, run through it in my exit interview, then put a match to it so I don’t revisit it down the track.
