The planets all lined up on the weekend and I’m finally awake to the joys of Firefly.
I finally spotted it on the shelves at the local dvd store, we had time to get our teeth into a series, and we fell for it hook line and sinker.
DB watched the two discs in one hit, but I’m lucky to still have a few episodes to go. We have at least on other set of discs to hire, plus the movie.
I’ve even heard myself saying things like “Where’s the gorram kettle,” today, and wanting to learn more about the gallactic language.
I had to watch it with the subtitles on, but I think that’s because I didn’t know they were speaking another language some of the time when I started watchin.
Egg on Thanks to Mark for the heads up, albeit months/years ago.
Took me a while to work it out too, but it’s insidious. I know what you mean about the sub-titles – Whedon-speak is rather idiosyncratic and fast paced.
